Let Spring Give You Hope

Share

Spring begins on March 19th. It is a time of awakening, growth, renewal, and blooming. For Christians, it’s a time of resurrection and hope. But for people experiencing grief and loss, this time of year can spark a feeling of disconnection because you’re not finding the joy of springtime.

The change of the seasons of life shows us that life goes on, but if your spouse, parent, child, or other beloved person has died, life may be standing still. And the joy of spring celebration can magnify your feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Psychology Today encourages readers who are feeling this way to “Observe where there is growth. Savor where there is beauty. It’s healing, it’s calming, and it’s good for the soul. It’s a reason to hope for a brighter future.” Our Lady of Peace (OLP) is also here to help.

If you’re struggling with grief, you’re not alone. Our Lady of Peace (OLP) can provide support in several ways, beginning with our March 2024 support groups. Please join us.
