Virtual Celebration of Life Event

Remembering loved ones. Honoring our legacy.

On December 7th, the 80th anniversary of the day Pearl Harbor was attacked, we also

celebrated our 80-years of compassionate end-of-life care. Staff, families, and friends of OLP gathered as we lit the exterior of our building with stars in memory of over 25,000 people who passed in the care of Our Lady of Peace, in their homes and our hospice residence. We celebrated the love and care of families, friends, staff, volunteers, and donors, led by Father John Malone and the Holiday Herald’s from the Minnesota Chorale. It was a cold, but memorable night.

We want to share this celebration with you. We invite you to tune into OLP’s virtual Celebration of Life Event via our website, beginning Sunday, December 19th. Chaplain Brian Kroeger will share words of comfort, along with Development Associate Heather Zenk, followed by the lighting celebration and remembrance.

As we mark 80-years and move towards the future, we are grateful for a $400,000 matching grant from THE WASIE FOUNDATION, a $100,000 matching grant from an anonymous donor, and the donations of families and individuals to help us build private rooms for patients and their families. And we promise to continue to care for patients with love, kindness, and empathy with a focus on the highest quality of life, as we have done for 80-years.

We are grateful to you for your trust in us, and your support. If you’re a new visitor to our website, we welcome you, and we invite you to explore the information and resources available here.
