Dave Dahl goes behind the scenes at Our Lady of Peace

Former KSTP-TV MeteorologistDave Dahl shared his on-camera talent with us for our virtual 2021 Friends of Our Lady Luncheon fundraiser for Our Lady of Peace Hospice. The virtual event began on May 13th and the video is available for viewing on our website until June 30, 2021.

As we celebrate our 80th year, compassionate end of life care is as necessary and vital today as it was the day our doors opened in 1941. The Friends of Our Lady Luncheon video opens those doors to you so you can meet members of our staff who answer some of our organization’s most frequently asked questions, presented by Dave Dahl. We’ll also introduce you to one of our beloved patients who spent her final days within our residential hospice.

We want to thank you for coming to our website, and we invite you to learn more about our organization by clicking the link to watch the video.

Our 21-bed Our Lady of Peace Residential Hospice serves patients and families with compassion and dignity in the final weeks and days of their lives, including support from our social workers and chaplains. Care for each patient costs $1,000 per day in our hospice home. About $189 of it is paid by Medicare, leaving a gap of $811. We work to raise money to cover that gap with donations so we can continue to provide compassionate end of life care with dignity, at no cost, as we’ve done for eight decades.

In addition to our residential home, patients receive our hospice care wherever they call home, including assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities. This care in the community also includes social work and spiritual support.

Thank you to all who watched our video and have donated. We are close to achieving our goal! Donations are still welcome!

Please support our mission of providing end-of-life care at no cost in our residential hospice home. Click here to donate or mail a check to us with Luncheon written in the memo space.
