When veteran journalist and former WCCO-TV Reporter Dave Nimmer visited Our Lady of Peace at the end of January, he said he was both impressed and touched by the experience. Dave came in prepared to write a story about a residence hospice with a long history of care at no cost, and walked out saying, “This is a special place.”
Dave’s story on Our Lady of Peace is published in the May/June issue of Minnesota Good Age Magazine, the premier resource for active Minnesotans age 50 and older. He’s written for the monthly magazine for several years, bringing his nose for news and journalistic acumen to the publication. Dave’s writing is educational, heart-warming, and entertaining.
The article will feature the story of David Wong, a beloved Kung Foo instructor who passed away at Our Lady of Peace in January of 2020. Up to a week before his passing, David’s students continued to learn from their Kung Foo instructor from his wheelchair, in our conference room.
