FAQ Questions & Answers

Our Lady of Peace provides Home Health Care services to individuals seeking curative care or requiring rehabilitative support. This care is distinct from hospice services. Home health services may include wound care, post-surgical recovery, and rehabilitation therapy—all delivered by skilled professionals directly in your home.

While both focus on comfort and management of symptoms, Palliative care is intended for individuals still pursuing curative treatments. In contrast, Hospice care is designed for those for whom curative options are no longer available or desired.

In-home hospice brings the care team to wherever a patient calls home. Residential hospice means the patient moves into a facility like Our Lady of Peace’s 21-private room hospice home that provides 24/7 nursing care — one of the few such facilities in the Twin Cities.

Hospice care is for individuals with a life-limiting illness who meet the criteria of an estimated prognosis of six months or less. Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. To learn more, please call 651-789-5031

Yes — grief support is open to all Twin Cities community members, not just Our Lady of Peace families. OLP offers counseling, support groups, and educational resources.

Referrals for our services can be made by calling 651-789-5031 and we will route you to the correct service line you are seeking. Our Lady of Peace accepts inquiries from healthcare professionals, family members, and patients themselves for all services across the Twin Cities but admission to any of our services does require a provider order.
